EXTREME BOOGIE EXTREMELY FUN
More than 300 jumpers registered at the Herd Boogie this year. Supplied with excellent lift power by two otters a sky van and a Cessna caravan, jumpers had very little waiting for their loads. Said one jumper, "It was great. You could jump as much as you wanted, or could afford to." Several large dives were put together with the sky van flying lead and two otters in trail. But the planned 80 ways had to be scratched when the owner of a commercial student mill in New Jersey had a last minute change of heart and refused to send his otter.

DITCH AND KIRK SHARE GOOD VIBES AWARD.
Even though Chuck McGee couldn't get the names right at the presentation Sunday night, they knew who they were. Jack Kirk and the ditch gang will each have six months to figure out what to do with a very large set of steer horns. Jack Kirk is notorious for spreading good vibes, and it is obvious to all by now that the ditch gang has become the soul of the dz.

SKY-VAN WINS JUMPERS HEARTS
"She's short and ugly, but she kind of grows on you" said one jumper. No, he wasn't talking about Gloria from the wet t contest. It was the flying shoebox that won jumpers hearts. In the air it became beautiful, a skydivers wet dream. It flew over 80 boogie loads........ CHEAPEST THRILL OF BOOGIE ... HOTFUELING THE SKYVAN ..............

JUMPERS BUS IN FOR WET T SHOW
Over 40 jumpers arrived at the boogie Saturday night after being bussed in from New Jersey. They brought the usual wet t shirt ringer with over inflated breasts. But Quality won out again over quantity, when a local student took the first prize. Later the visitors gathered with boogiers around the fire. One played bagpipes and another flew his radio controlled glider in circles over the flames. One jumper said,"It was really neat. For once we were all just one group and good vibes filled the air. I hope they come back next year and maybe even make a few jumps with us.

WRIGHT GOES LOW

MOTHER TERESA'S CORNER
Pardon my french, but I jumped my ass off at the boogie this year. It got to be a habit. (No pun intended). But seriously, I had a wonderful time and I just want to thank you children for making it happen. God bless you , and remember, play nice together...
